Unless there is some specific capability you are looking for in a dealer, I’d say pick the SYM dealership closest to your house. I’ve bought a number of new and used scoots over the years. Most dealerships are more alike than different. Buying your bike from a conveniently located shop will mean ease of maintenance later.
I second that - I bought mine from Sanchong, drove it back home to XingYi and then it broke down…
In my experience, dealers and mechanics do vary significantly. I know I’m probably not going to find as good a dealer as Eric in Taichung. However, I’d hope to find a place that’s reasonably clean, well-organized, and understands that there is such a thing as preventative maintenance. Or at least somewhere that someone here has had a reasonable experience with.

I would call Alan at HaveAll and ask him. He’s a Kwak dealer, but there are several SYM dealers on BeiXin Rd within 300 mtrs of his shop.
Alan’s shop will service any bike or scooter. He has amazing English for never having studied abroad.
