Is there any place where I can buy some retro-style furnitures - scandinavian style…like Arne Jacobsen?
Bought a new place, need new furnitures that brings more “just like home”-feeling to the box

Off the top of my head, there’s HOMY on 2nd floor in the B&Q/HOLA building in Neihu. HOMY’s dedicated to furniture and if memory serves me right, I do remember seeing some pieces like those you’re after.
Also, around that same area, there are a number of furniture stores. Sorry I don’t know the street names, but they are within 2-3 blocks of B&Q, close to the gas station with the blue “gas man” (as my son calls it) standing on the roof. We bought a sofa from LeaLea (phone: 27916699, you can call for location).
You could also try Wen Chang Jie (aka furniture street), I think one street away and parallel to Xinyi Rd.
All not necessarily designer furniture, but more like repro’s.
there are a lot of 2nd hand furniture stores specialising in 1950s euro furniture. i will check my biz cards tonight and let you know
Have you looked at ScanTeak? The stores are scattered around Taipei. They have a store in Tien Mu. Also have you looked at New World Design Center? They have a variety of stores and might have the style you are looking for…www.new-world.com.tw
It is very difficult to find the egg chair here in Taiwan, I talked to a designer who wanted to get one for a job and finally had to import it himself from England
Some places for good retro furniture are found behind the area of California gym on Chung Shiau east rd sec 4
there must be at least 5 or 6 second hand retro places with imported stuff from the 50’s 60’s and 70’s
very overprized but you might find something interesting there
Then there is the furniture alley, which runs paralel to Xing Y sec 5 on the south side, among the 100 or so furnitute places there is one shop that sells fake designer furniture from china, some good some bad.
There is also a funky furniture store in the street just past the petrol station also on xing y sec 5, they even have some furniture of local designers.
In The eslite bookstore building Xing Y sec 5 district on the firts floor is a small scandinavian design store, where I have seen an Arne Jacobson’s swan chair, a lot of money for a little chair, if I had it, I would buy at least 4, they are gorgeous.
good luck in your design hunt, if you need more info you can always call me.
