It is rather clunky, but still good stuff.

That would be quicker, certainly. The problem I have with it is its the bloke out of Six Feet Under (or something, can’t remember for sure), and he really sets my teeth on edge for some reason. Some actors just DO that. Like the one in the very terrible Premonition. Maybe the film wasn’t THAT awful, but it has that guy out of Nip & Tuck in it – the one who shags anything that moves – which just made it a complete stinker for me.
I couldn’t stand him in Six Feet Under either, but it’s exactly that sort of “disgusting vanilla” quality that he uses to great effect in this show. He’s just good at being vauguely creepy somehow.
Yeah Sandy, Merge nails it. I felt the same way at first. But it is exactly that image of him from 6"v that makes Dexie such a fun watch. That and his sister’s potty mouth.
And I think the corpse bits in the swimming pool is about 5 minutes into the premiere. Good attention span on ya Sandman. Wanna dip into my stash of ritalin next time?
I just watched s02e01 and I’m saving the other one for later.

Dexter’s taken a few interesting twists. Just finished S2E9. Wow. Interesting to see where this goes.
Thought they might have planned to make it a brief series and wrap it with the writers’ strike. Now… not so sure.
