Did Courtney Love spend time in Taiwan?

Did I read it here? Hallucinate? What?

I seem to remember coming across the “fact” that Courtney Love spent time in Taiwan.

Really? Teaching English? That’s hilarious if it’s true.

She was deported for stripping

It’s true. But she wasn’t a teacher, she was a stripper.

I’m surprised she decided to aim that high. She always struck me as the sort who’d be more likely to be a streetwalker.

Oy, whatever she may or may not be, she was still married to Kurt Cobain.

I’m setting you guys up here; I know I am…

I feel empathy for her just as I do for Mike Tyson. Both are all fucked up due to chemical imbalance or childhood abuse or whatever reasons and are struggling to make it through life; both are incompetent financially and emotionally; and both desperately need, among other things, a kind, compassionate person who really cares about them and doesn’t just want to mooch off of them, to befriend them and help guide them to calmer waters.

Courtney Love stripping?

No wonder the club was closed down.

Mike Tyson had one, Robert Stewart. He gave him the boot when Don King came along.

I don’t know about Stewart, but Don King obviously cares about no one but himself. I guess part of the problem is when you’re so messed up and surrounded by scoundrels, it’s hard to recognize a genuine friend.

Don King is the salt of the earth.

He’s also a convicted felon. Served four years in prison for murder (later reduced to manslaughter).

Was later tried for tax evasion and insurance fraud.

He is just another victim of the racist justice system in the United States. White America can’t stand the thought of a strong & successful black man.

If she was nineteen when she came to Taiwan, that would have been around 1983 … Anyone who hung out with local b-men in the strip clubs around that time remember seeing a pale, flabby blonde chick grinding away to a piano bar version of “Do you really want to hurt me?”

Yes, in that too much of him leaves a nasty taste in one’s mouth.

I guess black men don’t like a strong and successful con man either. Tyson sued King for fraud and recovered a $14 million settlement.

King settled a similar suit with Terry Norris for $7.5 million.
