Difficult game

Not sure if any of you guys/gals have seen this game before, but a friend of mine just sent it over… I havent beat it yet, but he told me there are more levels after you beat the first…

yeah…next level’s called “The Viridian Room”. I’ve beaten the first one, but the second one is much harder. :s

:bluemad: AGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH - its damn frustrating!!!

 - Got the B#####d!

I can’t beat either of them. Someone give me a hint or something!!!

In the Crimson room, I have the two rings, three keys, the power cord, the memo, the cassette, the box, and the empty CD case.

In the Viridian room, I have the two photos, the picture frame, the lighter, all six Chinese characters, the medicine bottle, the burnt paper, the incense, and the beer is cold. I’ve set up the altar, but I’m so stuck.

Beat both games with a little help from Sandman’s link. Creepy idea. Anyways, I think I would like to see mroe games like this…any idea where to find them?

Here is another one that is similar but the movement is really limited. However, the play is more logical than cultural.

“Mystery of Time and Space”

server-admin.pwp.blueyonder.co.u … stgame.htm

For free games they aren’t too bad, but if you like these at all you must try the Myst series (Myst, Riven, Exile, and Uru). I have the original cd’s for the first three (actually Riven and Exile are multiple cd-roms ie. 2-4 disks). Anyone tried Uru? I have yet to see it available here for purchase.

What I don’t like about that Crimson Room is it’s a bit too much “click everywhere with everything and see what works”.

My old favourite (of what used to be called ‘adventure games’) was Day of the Tentacle. Try downloading it (you can’t buy it anymore). I did a couple of days ago and had fun with it (couldn’t get the sound to work though). Similar is Sam and Max Hit the Road. Day of the Tentacle is really fun. An evil tentacle is taking over the world and you have to use a time machine to foil him in the past present and future. Challenges are things like the time machine int he future is stuck in a kumqat tree, so in the past you have to persuade George Washington to cut down the tree, by first painting it read and telling him it’s a cherry tree.

Brian

Hey Brian, you shouldn’t be looking at a computer monitor yet… oh, I guess it’s close to one month now.

Yeah, you’re right about the absence of reason, which is why I recommended the above titles. If you like RPG you’ve got to try them. Just clicking around everywhere you won’t succeed. You must use your brain (or bu ray un! ). It you want to try them let me know.

Good to see you back.

Bloody hooked on these things now… :s

This password and alias are no longer active for the Blue Room. Guess we’ll just have to pay to play it.

One I found that’s pretty cool is Chasm

Instead of collecting things, you do things.
