The guide will throw in some Chinese to get you the feeling he’s well versed in it and knows the locals.
God help us
Great news! I hope this helps get some of NZ’s awesome fruits here more smoothly—one assumes it will be cargo, not passengers, that will make this route workable again.

One flight a fucken month
So not cargo driven. A courtesy flight for expatriates like you?

These flights, as well as the CI/BR flights to/from Australia were badly impacted by Hotel Quarantine and the subsequent restrictions on how many passengers per day could arrive. Even now that Sydney and Melbourne have no quarantine for Vaccinated arrivals, the CI flights have only increased to one per week as Tourists are still excluded and of course the return to Taiwan earns you 14 days (or 10, or 7 depending when) in the Hotel Extortion.
CI have been scheduling one Cargo flight (passenger flight with empty cabin, but cargo holds presumably full) a week to Auckland, I think via Brisbane. EVA only operated to Brisbane and have stopped altogether like ANZ did.
There are more flights in future it seems.
