Ok I have a 30 day non extendable visa this time and now I just a job that just applied for an arc for me. My Visa runs out in 5 days …Do I need to go to honk kong for another visa. I heard something somwehere about being able to go down to the Consular of Foriegn affairs and getting some kind of extension with having to go to hong Kong. Is this true or Sh#!~@
A 30-day visitor’s visa or 30-day visa-free entry? Hopefully, the former.
You’ll probably have to leave the country. However, there have been a few cases where people on non-extendable visas were able to get extensions and stay in Taiwan so I think it is worth a try. Go to your local foreign affairs police station (with paperwork from the school that shows that your application is being processed) and roll the dice. I’ve tried this once myself but was unsuccessful.
What is your school doing to help you out?
Nope don’t have the 30 day visa free entry casue I burned that bridge last year when I overstayed for 7 days. So I can’t get visa free entry till Dec. again. But I am going to try and go the consular affairs office anyways this week and roll the dice like you said.
