Just moved here like 3 months ago. Cant find anyone who plays dominoes and i left my set in LA cant even find a place to buy set here. If any one plays or knows where to buy a set hit me up. Thanks 
Nobody plays here, I bought some for my daughter and I at Toys R Us at NYNY, but it’s shut down now.
You could try the one at AsiaWorld Dept Store, or the one on LinSen N Rd north of the par on NanKing.
Actually, though, there’s lots of places that sell them mail order on the internet, and IIRC they weren’t too bad price wise.

Is dominoes popular with adults in LA? With college students? Asian-Americans? In Canada? Isn’t it just an extremely simple, chidrens’ game? No offense meant by that; I just never really saw people playing it and don’t know. My daughter has a domino set, but we’ve barely played with it at all.
When I was in high school, and after, I played backgammon quite a bit and that’s not nearly as tough as chess, but one can get good at it and employ a fair amount of strategy. Isn’t dominoes much more simplistic than that?
Dominoes, like mah jhong, is simple. The attraction is the gambling aspect.

There are tons of extremely complicated dominoes games with complex betting and winning structures.
Dominoes is hugely popular as a “men’s getting together” game, like poker in N America, in the Caribbean and some Central/South American countries.
