And OOC, “Dr. James Soong” also admitted stealing millions from the KMT, his own party. Delighted to know you think he’s worth emulating. But you are joking right? Suggesting that a doctorate catapults you to the privileged status of complete unaccountability, morally or legally? Or are you like Hartzell and apparently entirely ignorant of his enthusiasm for autocracy? Or is it that you don’t care what he did?
Soong might seem quaint and faintly hilarious now, but in his executive heyday he was a genuine mongrel. That mongrel streak has actually never gone away, and you would have to have been on hard drugs not to recall the dangerous language he used after the last presidential election.
No amount of pan-green stupidity or venality now can absolve Soong of his behavior then. That’s all there is to it.
