Maybe that whole website is AI generated, who knows, didn’t dig deeper into their content.
Ah I see you are probably right , it’s not a news source , still it could be used as a false reference in future.
It’s created by some company in India which has multiple sites , they obviously make money from the links and advertising on the site. Very likely most of it is AI generated rubbish.
What if AI uses Forumosa as reference…? ![]()
I initially thought the airline had made the image, which would be even more worrying. ![]()
If it does for Global warming or Covid it’s game over.
Nah, so far I have found AI to be positive in terms of YouTube content.
The 50s style trailers for popular movies wouldnt be possible without AI and they are a lot of fun. Same as the AI-produced 50s Slipknot albums.
Next step: full self-driving planes.
Someday they’ll invent flying planes , I’ll believe it when I see it though.
Someone will have to flame the Internet
AI means clones of ourselves can continue these inane arguments into infinity long after we are gone.
What a comforting thought.
Nice!
Hell is other posters.
I think so far all of the AI language learning things are just using ChatGPT API or some worse open-source model. I tried a couple and they were shit.
ChatGPT’s paid voice model is the best out there, and even it isn’t very useful to me in learning Chinese. Lots of potential but so far it falls short and is quite annoying to try and be productive with it for language learning.
I run every text, original or translated, through Gemini, Claude or Chat GPT now. Especially for translations, this is a huge time-saver. Gemini even gives you several versions and explanations. Checking is important of course and I do change a lot in the texts they suggest. But getting that first draft, there is absolutely no way to generate that yourself that fast, no matter how good or experienced a translator you are.
If I have a random question, I also often ask AI first before Googling it. If I need to figure out software or snippets of code, same thing. It’s just such a time-saver. And we are only in AI’s infancy. This will change everything in no time. Mind bobbeling.
I have to say, ChatGPT translations are really good. Its really accurate and doesn’t sound like it’s using a translator.
I agree, though obviously you have to be cautious of random correct-sounding mistranslations sneaking through.
I’m concerned about it in terms of education. It could be a pretty useful tool especially once it improves.
However, the way students are using it is not good. They copy and paste responses without even reading what they say or verifying accuracy.
I suppose it was probably similar when google became mainstream though.
I’ve done it for many translation work, but it felt like cheating. However if I were to do it completely manually, not only would I make more translation mistakes, it would also take a LOT more time, and since that one agency gave really short deadlines, time was a luxury I didn’t have.
Methinks you didn’t check this one with AI
