Does living in Taiwan have a sell-by date?

Does it have a sell by date? I think, basically, yes. But so does everywhere, almost. There might be a handful a places on earth that do not, and, unfortunately, none are probably in Taiwan (tho maybe Taitung, maybe Hualien…)

My sell-by date came up quicker in Alaska than it almost did in Taiwan.

Taiwan might have a spot or two without an expiration date.

Oh, and as far as the actual sell-by-date question goes. I think it differs from person to person. Mine was originally 15 Feb 2004, as I only planned on staying for a year. Then it moved to 15 Feb 2005. Somewhere in there I met my future wife, married her and I’m still here and lovin’ it.
I’d actually like to buy some property in either Pingtung (where here family comes from) or Taidong, and settle down there in 10 to 15 years time.

But as with all things, who knows? I may still go back (not home, as Taiwan is now home) or even somewhere else. But, honestly, I don’t think I’ll leave.
