Does Taiwan't gov't block access to any webpages?

I’ve been a bit vexed recently about my inability to access a certain forum webpage that I much enjoy. It could just be down for maintenence or because of a malfunction. But it’s been completely down and inaccessible for 4 days now, without so much as an apology notice. I find that odd for a large international message board with hundreds of thousands of members.

It’s a website that centers around an illegal activity, which the R.O.C. seems to hold in especial cotempt. (Remember the death penalty warning all around customs and immigration)? Still, talking about an illegal activity isn’t a crime.

I recall from my days in Mainland China that the New York Times and CNN webpages were totally inaccessible, thanks to gov’t censorship. Typing in either would result in a big ol’ Error 404. Could democratic Taiwan be stooping to the same level?

Or, even worse, is it possible that the server’s secret geographical location has been discovered, raided, shut down, and charged with promoting illegal activities? I’ve found no such stories in the news or on google.

It’s not being blocked in Taiwan. Communication requests seem to get as far as Amsterdam then it goes down

I doubt the ROC gov’t can censor much these days. There are so many independently pulled data lines that you’d have to place huge content filtering servers at all of the ISPs…

It looks like the web site has been down since around July 3/4 (look at the green graph drop off)
