$650 a meal, but they can’t afford a mop and bucket apparently.
Wow, £468 (about T$20,000) is a lot for meal, the most I paid is £100 a meal in Europe which was in a nice place.
These places always suck anyway. I’ve been to a couple of these super expensive restaurants and was disappointed by both. They put way more money into decor and presentation than actual taste.
Gold flaked, foamy nonsense…
I looked it up on google, some reviews give it one star last few days but before it was near 5*****, but to me still not worth the price. Here in KHH, I went to a Euro place that was T$15,000 , most I paid here and not worth it at all. The Taco shop I would visit since it’s cheap ( can get 1,000+ tacos for £468)
The expensive faux-European places here especially suck. I’ve made the comment before that I’ve been to a number of awful yet expensive “Italian” restaurants run by Taiwanese celebrity chefs who add shit like corn and orange slices to their microwaved pasta dishes. It’s a travesty.
Honestly, here and abroad the best restaurants I’ve been to are fairly inexpensive. I’m not talking about the dirt cheap lunchbox places, but reasonable… my favorite place around here does great noodle dishes for about 180 NTD. Fancy places usually run on novelty and hype. All style, no substance.
s to their microwaved pasta dishes. It’s a travesty.
I went to place, not pasta but the dish was cold in the center, sometimes better just go to Family Mart or home.
