Does your school hold RUSSIAN classes?

I heard rumours of Russian classes being held in Taipei, but I can’t find any information on the internet. Does anyone attend a school that offers Russian classes? I’m willing to go anywhere between Taipei and HsinChu, and any info would be greatly greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Louise

There are Russian classes at Taipei Language Institute - or at least there used to be. Some International Trade students in Xinzhu also study Russian. If you are a complete beginner, I can teach you how to read Russian - for free - I could do with the practice.

Since this doesn’t have anything to do with the forum, Learning Chinese, in which it was posted, I’m moving it to Open Forum. – DB Mod

Well, I realise it wasn’t about Chinese, but that forum was the only place people who could answer were likely to see it. Hence why I posted it there.

Anyway Juba, thank you, I’ll look into that. My Russian is kind of low-intermediate - it’s speaking practice I need really.

Try National Cheng-Chi University in Muzha. I bet there’s more like that…

I just saw a poster for some kind of Russian literature conference. I should see it again in a few days, will report…

The local Orthodox Church will have some Russian speakers in it.

Mrs. Jesus says Wenhua Daxue (Chinese Culture University).

And here’s a link to that Russian literature seminar:

People there can probably help you find a place to study.

It’s an exhibition (or maybe an exhibition AND a seminar. I can’t read chinese…), I went last weekend. It was ace - to be honest it’s what made me want to start classes again instead of arsing around on my own and ultimaely not getting anything done.

Thanks for the input, I’ll go look those other places up.

You’re welcome! One seminar is past, two more are yet to come. (Shades of Dickens!)

You know how to find the church?
