I’m thinking of doing some traveling around the island this year, and I’d like to bring my dog with me, but I’m not sure where there are any dog friendly hotels. Have any of you taken your furfriends into a hotel with you? What do you do to get them in? Do you have to call in advance? Just show up with them? Sneak them in?
If you have any, give names of places and hotels you’ve had success with (without having to be sneaky about it).

I’ve used “motels” where you have your own little parking garage so nobody sees you take the dog out of the car.
The Shangrila hotel in ChingJing farm allows dogs.
The Rainbow Hotel in Kending also allows dogs.
It would be great to have a resources for dog friendly hotels. We have a very hard time every time we want to go somewhere.
I was thinking exactly the same… i want to go down south for 2 or 3 days but i dont know if i can bring my dog with me… i was thinking that i had to go camping so he could come, but the problem is the dirt (the dog would sleep outside of the tent) and other dogs (i have a GR) might pick a fight… but i will still try to make that happen !!
if anyone knows of a place where i can go camp on the beach with the dog and they have a shower and a bathroom please let me know !!!
There is a book called Life with Pets. In it they introduce several hotels -nice ones in teh mountains- that cater to the pet traveling crowd.
Dunno about teh beach, Omerojs, but I’ll keep an eye open in magazines and such.
There is a website that rents fully equiped apartments in Kaohsiung for the day, week.

I always bring my dogs with me to Kending. I never book ahead of time; just drive up , ask for a room and then mention the dogs. I’ve rarely been turned away but I usually go to the strip just outside of Kending called Sail Rock so I’m not sure about in town.
