Don't Use Apple's China iCloud

The Chinese government will have easy access and even local police will be able to access iCloud information.

Does Apple consider Taiwan a part of China? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Good question. Where is Taiwan iCloud information stored and who has they keys?

How about don’t use any cloud device?
Stick to backing up your PCs on a big 1TG (or larger) usb harddrive and then a 2nd usb thumbdrive or even a 3rd one. Rather simple. I don’t use any cloud software to save anything, because there is too much risk for others to see your stuff if it ever gets hacked or if gov’ts like China have access to it.

but mah new teknology

well, duuuuuh.

They don’t have one.

Found this article which suggests Taiwan, Macau and HK are excluded. Is this to be believed though?

Surely Taiwanese with Iphones must be panicking?

If airlines have been pressured into putting Taiwan under the China umbrella, then China must have given held Apple Inc ransom too. If you don’t give us all Taiwan data and accept Taiwan as a part of China, we pull the rug under your largest customer base in the world and cut your revenue in half?

Is there any way to confirm Apple doesn’t give all Taiwan user data over to China? Can they eventually be forced to? Taiwanese must have asked this question by now?
