Dormant bank account

In 2011 while I was studying Chinese at Shida I maintained a bank account at China Trust 中國信託. I have since returned home without closing my bank account in Taipei.

The last transaction on my account was more than 2 years ago. Does anyone know if my account is now inactive/dormant and if so, how do I activate it as I still have a fair bit of money left. Any advise is much appreciated. Thanks!

The best thing to do is probably contact the bank and ask for information

I once left a bank account dormant for three years while I was out of the country and didn’t have a problem. It was still active.

It was with a different bank but I don’t think you should have a problem.

But I agree with the above poster. If you want to be 100% sure, call your bank and verify.
