Downgrading OS 4 to 3.1.3 for iphone 3Gs (Windows & Mac)

It sounds like your home and university networks are different types. I assume with your university, each user has his own login, whereas your home would have a general login that everyone uses? Perhaps in the new OS, the iPhone handles the individual logins differently?

It sounds like they are going to come out with a 4.0.1 version in the next few weeks that will recalibrate the reception bars you see on screen. Hopefully they will fix other bugs like this that people have been having.

(I’m also getting more annoyed with the touch delays - I keep getting to the wrong place, because the phone doesn’t respond, so I tap it again, then suddenly I’ve moved on a couple more screens. I hope I’ll get used to this.)

No change in remembering passwords or battery life.

As for the touch delays, it’s been an exercise in patience. I’ve learned to just wait.
