Drinking and Eating on the MRT

I mean on the trains.

They have the rooms so women don’t need to breastfeed on the trains. But hey, people watch porn on the trains.

Absolutely not.

I don’t see what is wrong with it. Breast feeding is a natural, healthy thing to do. There are shirts that allow the mom to keep herself covered and modest, but there is no shame in just doing it. A mom feeding her kid should be allowed and not shamed.

I’m totally in to it, no problem here!

Look, I’m down for it 110% believe me. Taiwan society just isn’t ready, lot of neanderthals out there. Plus all the perverts with cameras would be all over it.

Why do I see commercials telling people to be considerate when reading newspapers (I can count on my hands how many times I’ve actually seen someone read one on the MRT over the past few years) yet the biggest problem is people using cellphones and being oblivious to their surroundings. They won’t move, get up for older people, or pregnant women.

… with backpacks!

It’s allowed, in fact it’s against the law in Taiwan to interfere with a mother breastfeeding. Mothers publicly breastfeed at Taipei Station - Taipei Times

Yes it’s allowed but it won’t likely happen in our lifetime. Notice that that event was women breastfeeding in a group at a very large station. If they were serious they’d have got on the train and done it.

“She often felt uncomfortable doing so, as strangers made awkward or strange facial expressions, she said.”

I don’t think most people ride the MRT long enough to have to breastfeed on the train.

From Dingpu to Nangang you can feed all you can.

I would imagine it won’t happen as the vast majority of women would not want, or indeed need, to breast feed on an MRT. The average MRT car has way too much going on for most babies to feed anyway.

Mt wife had no difficulty finding places to breast feed either of our children, in many MRT stations it’s actually the staff break room that is turned over to mothers. Staff chucked out and mother given the key!

It is however a protected right in Taiwan for woman to breast feed their children pretty much anywhere, there have been a couple of cases where mall security have been fined for prevented women from doing so.

They are all busy watching their ‘smart’ phone!

My first experience of Taiwan was waiting to board the plane, watching an old guy get his phone out and zoom in on a regular 20-something girl who was sitting down and take a photo for his wankbank

Would assume this means when you are in Taiwan.

Leaving or coming?
If coming then it wouldn’t have been Taiwan, would it?

So you were watching an old guy and at the same time watching the girl he was watching since you know what he was capturing on film. Lots of watching going on.

Sorry, but your post has nothing to do with the MRT and doesn’t make sense.

If a woman eats with her mouth wide open then that definitely a NO Date

OK this has sat here for 9 hours like a Zen koan. I still have no idea what the joke is…

I don’t think it was a joke. But, I also don’t know what it has to do with drinking and eating on the MRT.
