I was reading the Taipei Times last Sunday ( 6th June)
when I came across an article about a fengshui master, Chang Hsu-Chu.
I always discounted this ‘science’ as being mumbo-jumbo.
Until I read the following. " Chang said the most harmonious road in Taipei, and one which the ‘chi’ flows unhindered is Zhonshan North Road sections one thru three."
As I was quaffing my eighth bottle of San Miquel at the time in a bar in sec.3 I felt a warm feeling of well being come over me. Yes, I thought the fengshui is running all around The Zone.
So you naysayers proof enough The Zone is the best place to get pissed in Taipei!

The feeling of chi was overwhelming in the hostess bar last night. Infact, it was so full-on that my bar bill doubled before my eyes. Amazingly I have no memory of buying the ‘Lady’ drinks. ( colored water)
Strange, I felt no good feeling of chi in B52 ?
I have never heard of B52 mentioned on this site .
Even stranger.
Oh B52 what fond memories I have of that place emerging into bright sunlight at 6.30 in the morning and going in to seven eleven for a microwave hot dog, that’s life.
