Rumors of a Harley Davidson Motor Company buy-out of Ducati have been
making the rounds.

i hear that Buell dropped Harley’s motors in favor of KTM or Rotax engines (not certain if for all models but i don’t really think so).
they maybe develop new models around a newer V2 engine
in the forum 1000ps.at (in german) you can read more about it - especially since the forum is austrian just like the engines - they go crazy over that.
but after all, still seems like unconfirmed rumors
HD and Ducati together? Aaaargh! Like caviar and cornflakes. Polar opposites in just about everything.
Mind you, I would have a laugh riding that chopper for an hour or so (slowly, and somewhere with not too many corners). Then i’d have to give it back and get on a real bike…
BTW, how does a normal person reach the handlebars on that thing? Looks like the reach is WAY too long. Riser bars or ape hangers are definitely called for!
Now that i like… a lot. You may even get to ride it at both hog parades and Ducati owners meets without raising too many eyebrows.
Buell gets a Rotax engine in 2008. Finally a Buell gets an engine worthy of it’s potential.
