Andre and the kind folk at Cloud9 will be having a “Ducky Race” in aid of the plight of Mark Selikoff soon. Read more here:
should people register in advance?
Thanks for the bump. I’ve gotta get on that myself.
The event sounds like fun.

Due to the typhoon coming we have decided to postpone the event to September 1st.
Thanks for all the support so far and please help us to spread the word.
should people register in advance?
Are you a duck ?
Huh…? I think you have been mistaken me with someone else. One of our great ladies wants to be a duck and hates frogs.
It’s a ducky race, only duckies are allowed to enter.

Ok, as this moved 2 weeks back now and everybody needs to kill time during the typhoon days it might be a good idea to show what it’s all about.
Yeasterday I went up to Pinglin to take a swimm and some photos, the day before a typhoon reaches is just the best for that:

I just had to share the place with my kids and some animals (mind you, no rubber ducks at sight…):

The kids loved it there…

We found some traces of secret training sessions:

But most important, the hammock is already waiting for you guys…

So start to plan now, you have time anyway and besides enjoying the place and having a great time you will even do some good, so see you there on 1st of September…
And for the greedy one’s, here is a link to the full set on my flickr account:

Beautiful photos Mingshah. Great place to let the kids swim.
We had all of our gear ready for a camping trip up there and absolutely got rained out. The place was a swamp before we even unloaded the vehicles.
Hoping for better weather next time around…
Yea, they are beautiful. :bravo:
Thanks for posting those. I’ve never been to Pinglin, but you’ve inspired me.
Thanks to you both, just some lucky shots I guess. The day right before the Typhoon was just great, nobody up there and perfect weather. Will be up there in 2 weeks again.

It was a great time…but I’m a bit over posting the results here to be honest. A grand total of 4 people from this website could be bothered to attend. Not sure what to say to that actually, other than to say you missed a great venue.
I would also like to thank Andre and all the crew at Cloud 9 for organizing a first rate event, one which all age groups and kids could enjoy, as you can see clearly in the photo link. I for one plan to spend a lot more time there:notworthy:
Mark is improving…and I’ll only be too happy to provide all the details as before, if I could only get a sense people here are actually still interested. Let me know please, and I’ll begin the weekly updates once more.
MJB
Chin up, MJB. People are reading this and do remain interested. Possibly other factors for the poor Flob show?

What he said.
I’m also constantly checking Mark’s threads for updates, as I’m sure others are.
Stu
I was working. The pics sure look good, though.
