my niece bought a barbie DVD region 3, but it won’t play on the Region 3 DVD player that I used today.
Anyone else know of a problem like this? and how to deal with it?
is it just a bad DVD or due to copy protection (it’s legit. DVD) or what?

Does the DVD player play other movies? If it does then the problem must lie in that DVD. Do you get any error messages? My DVD player gives me a region error when I try playing a DVD that’s out side of the region. If you have access to a “Region Free” DVD player that you could test it on, I’d recommend doing that. Or take it back to the place you bought them and have them test it for you.
