Earth Hour 2015 is this Saturday, not sure what time the switch off is.
I’m expecting to see Taipei go black .
This Saturday is WWF’s Earth Hour (8:30pm-9:30pm) which is a global annual event where hundreds of millions of people switch off their lights for one hour to show they care about our planet. It’s about people from across the globe coming together to create a symbolic and spectacular lights out display and asking for change. It happens every year between 8.30 and 9.30pm GMT, with switch offs starting in Samoa and finishing in Tahiti. It’s been growing every year, with more and more countries and people signing up – last year an all-time record was hit with 162 countries taking part.

The Earth Hour page says 8:30 – 9:30 local time.
To be honest, this is the first time I’ve heard about Earth Hour. It’s a cool idea; however, the Spiderman tie-in, as shown in the 2014 video , seemed to cheapen it for me. Whatever works, though.
