I was busy doing chores when I heard the POW POW POW of furniture against the wall. Turned around just in time to fully feel the floor moving and noticed the phone alarm. My phone was still in quiet/vibrate mode.

itâs very rare for downtown Taipei to register level 4 shake intensity.
Interesting its a 6.0M in Taiwan and 5.3M on USGS.

That quake (or those quakes) last night got my attention!
Definitely the strongest one I felt here at home since that massive Hualien quake in 2024 . . .

He wants to hunt them. My doggie pressed the leash while trying to catch anything from squirrels to night herons to lizards and frogs and anything that moved in the park.
He was also a great earthquake detector, unlike the fat cats I live with, who couldnât care less if the whole building fell on us. In fact, they have been helping by testing the gravitational pull of pantry items⌠Not nice when you are feeling a bit jumpy due to recent quakes.
Please donât misgender my dog. Lucy is a girl. 
Yesterday she caught a giant grasshopper and play/ate it in front of my horrified wife.
Did the same with a big praying mantis the night before. I thought it would put up a better fight . It did not .
