Link for the Feb 6, 2006 US DoD Quadrennial Report. Taiwan is only mentioned once on page 29 (pdf page 41), but it goes into the china threat more on the following pages. Also, page 33 discusses EMP (electromagnetic pulse), which seems to be the biggest threat (nuclear bomb explosion in the air over the us or tokyo). I’ve come across this in several articles over the past few months.
