I would like to embed (combine) my movies and their respective subtitle files for obvious reasons.
Basically taking an .avi file and .srt and make them one combined file.
Does anyone have any experience in this field?
I’m specifically looking for what application to use?
Thanks.
Well if you have DVD Studio from the Final Cut Pro Studio you can do it. But for free programs, I would check open source software or do a google search.
But see, I’m not trying to rip avi + srt >>> DVD.
I’m trying to rip avi + srt >>> avi (or any other digital format for that matter).
The purpose is I want to watch the movie on a UPnP AV media player (hardware device) that does not support chinese subtitles because it’s US region. Embedding them into the avi will solve this problem.
Any ideas? Can DVD Studio combined an existing avi and srt to one digital video file?
I’ve been using a freeware program for windows called media coder. it converts many different formats and allows conversion, resizing, hard subbing and more. I’ve been using it to convert mkv’s into hard subbed mp4s for my phone
