Hi all. Does anyone know of (if they even exists) english speaking tour groups that depart from taiwan? I’m frequently visiting family in taiwan and always thought it’d be a great opportunity to visit other parts of asia from there. But since I would most likely to traveling, I thought it might be a good idea (or safer) to join a tour group. I just prefer not to be in a tour group that: 1) speaks only chinese (since I would be lost and unable to communicate well with anyone else) and 2) full of families and couples. Considering the number of expats and abc’s living in taiwan, there must be something tout catering to the english-speaking crowd. Thanks in advance.
Most parts of Asia, you can get by just fine with English (in tourist areas at least). No real need for a tour group - get a guidebook or do some online research, and travel independently. If you want a more in-depth explanation of the sites you see, hire a local guide when you’re there. The various countries tourist info bureaus usually have a list of licensed guides to get you started.
