English translation of xiang1gong1suo3?

My friend needs a translation for “xiang1gong1suo3.” That is an office in each township, funded by central government, that helps with local development.

Is there a commonly accepted translation of this? Any suggestions?

I could only think of “municipal development office” or “township development office” but those titles don’t say anything about the link with central government.

“Township development office” is correct. Or just “township office.” The government connection is not required in the name.
