Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me! My brother wants to come to Taiwan, but he has to make sure he can get his epilepsy medication here. He’s only allowed to use Trileptal and he has to see a neurologist at least once a year for a check-up. As far as we can see his medication is available here, but that doesn’t mean he’ll get it easily or that he’ll get the exact brand. He can’t use other brands or similar meds as he has many allergies. Does anyone know a good neurologist and/or where I can get more information? We’ve tried the national epilepsy association in Taiwan but they weren’t much help. Thanks!
I work in Tri-Service General Hospital in Neihu main facility and Tingchou branch in Taipei. I searched the medication app for the medicine information. Our hospital do have Trileptal.
You could bring your brother to our neurologist and see if they could prescribe this medicine for him.

However, I believe other hospital might also have this medicine. If you want me to help you check the hospital you want to go, I might be able to help you.
Hi Joey0825,
Thank you so much! This is great news. I will bring him to you as soon as he arrives in Taiwan.
Have a great day,
Elene
