I heard something about EU citizens don’t nead the criminal record and heath check when regestering a marriage in Taiwan.
Is this true?
Did hear something about it from someone last year.

I’m a UK citizen and I got married to my Taiwanese wife in Taipei Court.
I took my marriage certificate (from the Taipei court) and my Taiwanese wife (with her ID and household registry) to get my marriage registered and that was all i needed. No Health Certificate and no CCRD (criminal record check).
But if you subsequently wish to apply for residency, based on your registered marriage to a Taiwan Citizen, then you do need the health check and criminal record check to apply for your Joining Family Resident Visa (JFRV).
