Does anyone know if any channel has bought over the rights ?
CARNEGIES TAIPEI will be showing all live EURO 2012 games.
Please note that on our dance nights that the games will be shown without the sound on our Ladies night Wednesday and on Saturday nights.
The first day play is on Tuesday 08 June and we are open for that with 2 large projector screens and stadium commentary.
However once the quarter finals, semi finals and final are on those games will be on our big screens and TV’s and with sports commentary.
There is no need to call and make reservations but you can register on our Carnegies website carnegies.com.tw to receive our email updates about imnportant events to be held at carnegies.

For the previous competitions, (2000, 2004, 2008), I seem to remember that one of the local channels showed some of the games from the knock out stages, but not the group games. However, it might be different for this euro. I’m sure it will be on MOD, or p2p. Failing that, there is On tap, Brass Monkey or Carnegies,and dare I say it, the Tavern.

We have already looked at who has the broadcasting rights and there are no Taiwan providers with the rights. You can also see the broadcasters from the UEFA website as well from the UEFA link . We have the RCTI Indonesia channel with the live games, in English.

It’s not on local TV at all. if you is smart you might be able to figure out how to watch it on the internet.

So Eurosport HD Asia is not broadcasting in TW? That would be very odd.
For sure, you need to have the HD box from Taiwan Mobile or Chunghwa.

The main reason to like soccer: 
It always makes me laugh when egg-chasing fans barf on about simulation by footballers (i.e. falling over when contact is made in order to win a free kick/penalty).
Rugby Union players do their best to get their opponents penalised at EVERY scrum and ruck. In rugby league when held they flail their legs about and even hold onto the tackler to try and win penalties. Perhaps someone could explain to me why this behavior is so much more “sporting”. Just watch the last five minutes of that Australia-Scotland game last week. What a fucking farce. And Ukraine vs. Sweden was a good example of how a football match can turn on its head in minutes. Nine out of ten rugby matches are over as a contest with a third of the game left. That’s what happens when you’ve got the width of the field to score in. And don’t get me started on all that tedious ariel ping-pong guff. Or the 85-0 cliffhangers in the early rounds of their World (Hah!) Cup.
Croatia brought on a player called Eduardo da Silva late in their match against Ireland. Maybe you should ask him if football is a girly game.
