A little bit of a walk but it’s doable. I did it

Thanks, so I will walk! The ferry boats look nice from the web sites

I will visit Tallinn since its easy boat ride there. I am curious about Kaumas and why you recommend it and not Vilnius? With Vilnius/Lithuania in the Taiwan news more I wanted to visit since I will be so near.

Do both, very close by with train.

Thanks, after a search see it is an interesting town (even saw a Taiwanese tea shop chain there with a few shops). So many places to see, so I will have to choose.

I already bought my ticket Sweden > Vilnius.

By air.

Close to Vilnius, worth a look:

Thanks for the link and info! Looks great and wonderful info. Did you drive there or is there public transport there?

So which ferry did you use and, did you pay the upgrade and if yes was it worth it for the extras? (Also how was the food and shopping , seems big shopping area on the boat)

Plenty of buses. So close that taxi also easy.

I didn’t do any upgrades. I did the buffet, which was great. Got to try moose neck. Not a big shopper either.

Heaps of Fins do the ferry as a day trip, strictly to buy the cheaper booze in Estonia.

You could be done with Estonia but the question is if Estonia would be done with you.

This is often quite the sight. You can spot grannies hauling literally carts full of booze.

Did the buffet come with beer and wine? Also others mention how cheap beer is in Tallinn, is that cheaper than Taiwan/Japan?

I don’t drink, so I didn’t pay attention to that.

I just heard a Swedish woman pronounce Lithuania. Apparently, the Taiwanese translation (Litaowan) sounds very close. They did not butcher this one.

Kaunas beer. Nice city not far from the capital and nice people. Lots of people enjoying the summer days with a drink, if you break the ice its nice to chat with locals (younger people speak great English as well other languages).

Many people hope Estonia is done with Russia (but more complex than what might seem simple)
