Are you a whinger/whiner?
A Gusher/gasher?

Let it all hang out,…

You missed off “I can’t” And I wish I could.

The times I have cried in the last few years;

 1. Yesterday, when I was so tired I was hearing voices and seeing strange lights and I couldn’t figure out which street I was on.
 2. About 18 months ago when my boss told me I did something really badly. Humiliating, to say the least.
 3. About 3 years ago when my boyfriend at the time left me.

I rarely cry when I’m sad, only when angry and can’t express it properly. I howl. I go purple in the face, and cry a lot of tears. I didn’t cry when my father or even closer family members died. That’s not to say I didn’t care, I just don’t express myself like that.

Is crying, after babyhood where we do it to signal we need feeding, a learned response? Maybe I’m just too British; my family’s response to tears was “What are you whinging about? Stop mithering, or I’ll give you something to cry about.”

It’s a trick question.

The correct answer is: What are you, some kind of poofter? Blokes don’t cry.

However, I have been known to have nasty eye-watering bouts of hayfever when watching some movies (heavily boozed up of course) or reading (Dr. Zhivago springs to mind).

The last time I cried was in middle school when my friends grandfather died. Since then I’m not sure if I have forgotten how, have been brainwashed by GI Joe propaganda or am just so gangstA!

Like a bodhisattva, filled with compassion for all sentient beings throughout the ten directions. Or the Indian in that anti-littering commercial.

“When a love comes to an end, weaklings cry, efficient ones instantly find another love, and the wise already have one in reserve.”

I roll over and pretend I’m no crying. “Just go to sleep honey”

I stand erect in three-quarter profile, the setting sun shining on the rugged contours of my steely eyed gaze and stoic jawline, while a single tear rolls down my cheek. And since Tigerman always references the dead, I’ll reference a REAL singer – almas John, you should pay particular attention to the bolded part:
There once was a man who just couldn’t cry
He hadn’t cried for years and for years
Napalmed babies and the movie love story
For instance could not produce tears
As a child he had cried as all children will
Then at some point his tear ducts ran dry
He grew to be a man, the shit hit the fan
Things got bad, but he couldn’t cry

His dog was run over, his wife up and left him
And after that he got sacked from his job
Lost his arm in the war, was laughed at by a whore
Ah, but sill not a sniffle or sob

His novel was refused, his movie was panned
And his big Broadway show was a flop

He got sent off to jail; you guessed it, no bail
Oh, but still not a dribble or drop

In jail he was beaten, bullied and buggered
And made to make license plates
Water and bread was all he was fed
But not once did a tear stain his face

Doctors were called in, scientists, too
Theologians were last and practically least

They all agreed sure enough; this was sure no cream puff
But in fact an insensitive beast

He was removed from jail and placed in a place
For the insensitive and the insane
He played lots of chess and made lots of friends
And he wept every time it would rain

Once it rained forty days and it rained forty nights
And he cried and he cried and he cried and he cried

On the forty-first day, he passed away
He just dehydrated and died

Well, he went up to heaven, located his dog
Not only that, but he rejoined his arm
Down below, all the critics, they loot it all back
Cancer robbed the whore of her charm

His ex-wife died of stretch marks, his ex-employer went broke
The theologians were finally found out

Right down to the ground, that old jail house burned down
The earth suffered perpetual drought
