Do the Lao banks exchange Taiwan dollars? Do they do so with fair rates?

I doubt it. Why take the risk?
So few places outside of Taiwan trade NT$ that it’s unlikely that a place like Laos would.
Do what’s safest: while in Taiwan, convert your NT$ to US$. In Laos, the three most readily accepted currencies are the Lao kip. the Thai baht and the US dollar.
Too bad that’s the case. I just wanted to avoid converting my NT to US cuz of the service charges, and then losing again when I convert to other currencies. I’m planning on going to other countries as well.
Does anyone know if you can use your basic “demand account” from “Bank of Taiwan” abroad, does it allow for PLUS or Cirrus? Specifically in Thailand or Malaysia?
