The amount of visible space trash is terrifyingā€¦

Iā€™m pretty sure I saw one ramming into the insulation foils around the satelliteā€™s engine.

Just some ice falling off. But technically it is visible space trash.

Main stage crashed on landing!

Itā€™s pretty difficult to land on a moving stage!

Yup ā€¦ weā€™re gonna need a bigger boat

Why didnā€™t they think about that?

This launch had a heavy load with multiple orbits to achieve, so the center core had to go much higher than previous cores. The landing barge had to be placed twice as far away from the coast than previously. Due to high entry force one engine was damaged. It wouldnā€™t be able to land anywhere.

Bloody good job anyway.

The mission was to deploy all satellites. This was achieved.
Landing the boosters and center core are just nice to have for lowering the overall cost.

Elon Musk transformed the rocket science with a new approach. Now even the stubborn ESA is going reusable. Their argument was that having a few launches a year and using a reusable rocket would make their engineers to be out of work most of the year
Yeah, spending tax payers money is easy!

This arrogance! It is basically repeating the same mistake the German car industry did.
Electric cars are not viable the CEOs said! Now they are half a decade behind in research and manufacturing battery cells and other electric vehicle tech.
BMW recently announced they are going to do autonomous driving software in two years from scratch!

Ah, theyā€™ll just buy all the good guys from Toyota and Nissan. Plus, there are squillions of AI and ML graduates coming out now, which was not the case 10 years ago. Sorry, graduating nowā€¦ Iā€™m not suggesting they are all gay.

Fixed that!
