Fauxmosexuality - The rise of celesbianism

What great new terms the world has sent us!

Katy Perry kissed a girl, and I didn’t like it. The American singer didn’t just kiss a girl, she wrote a song about it, sold millions of records and trivialised a pretty serious issue. And did I mention that she’s straight?

Pretending to be a lesbian is suddenly cool. It’s hip not to be square. Celesbianism, as it has been labelled, is on the front pages, at the top of the charts and making money like never before.[/quote]

Still, faumosexuality isn’t new. Recall the tales of Bowie, Iggy Pop and Jagger, and then there was the new romantics. Was Elvis a fauxmo in his day?

As for the current spate, I blame porn, which I think is also linked to the strange phenomenon of ostensibly otherwise straight lasses seemingly needing to clap lips on other lasses whenever a camera appears. I don’t get it. Lesbian porn, sure, but pashing straight sheilas? WTF?

And then there’s this pair. Twins no less. Now that’s a commonly expressed fantasy I’ve never understood. Dunno, but incest just doesn’t do it for me,

Leave it out, you fauxmo bastards!

HG

No kidding! Some guy recently was going on and on about the idea of “doing it” with twins. I pointed out to him that he would be participating in an act of incest. There was no reply to that. Now I don’t know whether it was because he thought “crap! I never realized that” or because he thought “duh! that’s the whole point” but did not want to express it out loud.

As for celesbianism, well, that’s another of the usual fads coming out of Celebrity Land. Not so long ago everybody was into Jewish mysticism and now everybody’s a lesbian.

So… what’s the problem?

Only if they’re doing each other. Not if they’re both just doing you.

Wow! That’s a very good point you got there, Chris.

HG

Hmm… from a legal standpoint maybe. As far as I’m concerned, there need not be any presence of “doing each other” (which I understand to be a direct physical contact) for a sexual relationship to be established.

Bored people. All ya need Jesus, quick

Umm, does Jesus have a twin sister?

Try hookin up with Mary Magdalene, she may have some way to satisfy that twin fetish.

You have to remember that most of these “celebrities” got nuttin’ apart from the fact that they’re “celebrities.” Therefore, they’ll do pretty much ANYTHING to get in the papers – its how they make their livings. Off the suckers who buy into their crap, or more to the point, off the gutter rags for whom their fake shenannigans are their stock in trade.
Yeah, lets talk about incest. Lets. :unamused:

Behind the laws that structure human society is the horror of incest, and behind that horror are the desire for incest and the murderous capacity to act on that desire.
Freud

Maybe these ‘straight’ gals have a little latent lesbian curiosity in them, and celesbianism allows them to be naughty, give a little expression to it, while maintaining plausible deniability? That’s not such a bad thing, is it?

totally with you on that one,
try everything once…

I like insects. They’re nice and crunchy.

Yow! I’m getting really active on Forumosa recently. Can I become a moderator of the moderators? Who watches the Watchmen? Bring on the Avatars!!!

Only if they’re under 15. Then it’s a bit tragic. Kind of like having piercings after university or doing drugs after your 20s.

Well, seeing as she’s been dead goin on 2000 years now…

Think I prefer fauxincest with the twins.

Freud obviously never lived Louisianna…

No arguments from me…

But it’s somehow more than a little ironic, that when the two people that are “exploring” their sexuality happen to be guys, folks just don’t find it that erotic…or even acceptable.
Picture, if you will, Brad Pitt and George Clooney, shirtless, sweaty and clinging to each other in a sexually suggestive way. How do you think that would play out?

I love twins! I have all their movies.
