Over a year ago I clipped out of the paper this gem from Tsai Ming-hwa, Vice President Annette Lu’s (former?) official spokeswoman:

“Don’t disbelieve Lu just because she is old and ugly. After all, even the Hunchback of Notre Dame had a kind heart.”

With friends like that. . .
