The recent cold weather, I have noticed, has turned my Magic Amah Cold Wash clothes detergent cloudy.

It normally has a clear aspect but now it is slightly turbid in appearance.

Before I dump my load in my machine, I need to know if this cloudiness will turn my clothes cloudy.

Can anyone help?

Are your clothes normally transparent? I would think at least a little cloudiness/opacity would be desired.

That could explain the “cloudy” color – too many stains.

My advice – go back to Tide.

All I know about my clothes, my jeans in particular, is that it takes them four days to dry in this shitty weather and when I put them on, the crotch is ice cold and still damp! :fume:

Really man, can’t you do that in the shower like everybody else?

I used to be a (powder) Persil man myself but always found that to be too gritty until I added water but that made them wet and significantly increased drying time. Magic Amah is OK for cold washes but I am wondering whether the cloudiness now apparent will reduce the cleanliness of my clothes as well as make them cloudy.

I thank you all for your contributions so far but alas, no one seems to have answered the question.

I recommand “Magic Amah”. It’s liquid. Comes in a big white bottle with a sun on it. No cloud and it smells nice. It’s on special with 350 grams extra for the same price. Powder soap is cloudy, I can’t stand that! It’s true and it can leave visible residues on your clothes. Liquid soap costs more but it lasts longer too. Why is it that I know this but yet my wife…never mind.

I’m an idjit and buy the huge Cheer bottle/jug from CostCo for $699. Good for about 5-6 months. Oh and I have a dryer for these cold days.

Sorry never used Magic Amah.

A good way to tell if your clothes will get cloudy is to stick your head in the water right before you put the clothes in the wash cycle. Then swish your head around for a minute or two. Then repeat the process. If your head doesn’t turn cloudy then your clothes won’t either.

I don’t like Magic Amah. Their dishwashing soap is particularly crappy.

BA washes his clothes??? :astonished:

Will wonders ever cease?

Wash away, OP, I’m a house wife and have used Magic Amah. The cold clots the stuff a bit, but it will still wash your clothes just as well as in the heat of summer.

You complain now…in June you will have fond memories.

That puts a stain on my post.

It’s up to you if you like cloudy clothes. :snooty:
