We are arranging a small market day (10 spaces available to sell family-related stuff) and social gathering for parents/families on February 14th, 10am-12 noon. Whether you are new to Taiwan/parenting, or an old-hat, you are welcome to come along and enjoy a simple morning tea and maybe pick up a bargain or two, too. Those of us with school-aged kids will be coming alone, and if you have younger ones, there is a nice little playspace for the kids.
Here’s the information from the facebook Events page:

I’m looking forward to meeting you! I also want to welcome parents-to-be to come along, too. I can promise lots of unsolicited advice and opinions from us already-parents This space was opened to be a meeting place for parents and those preparing for parenthood, by doula Angie. She has LOTS of experience with hospitals in Taiwan, so come and ask her all your questions!
I’ll be there, too, showcasing cards and stationery. Lots of beautiful thank you cards, note cards, bon voyage cards, postcards and other greeting cards. Also bringing some address books, journals, and recipe binders/organizers.
If anyone is coming up from Taichung, PM me. I’ll be driving and there’s room for one more person in the car!
Thanks to everyone who came along on Feb 14th! It was a very nice morning and we had a pretty good turn-out. 914, and ichbinjenny, it was really good to see both of you, too. (ichbinjenny, did you get my email?)
We still have one piece of unfinished business. Did anyone wear a pair of shoes home that seemed a little bit bigger than before? One mom has lost her shoes, and ended up with the same kind but one size smaller. If you happened to take the wrong shoes (white with pink trim), please get in touch me and we will work out how to get the right shoes back! Thanks.
