Female Soldier Charged in Iraq Abuse Case

Traveller:

My goodness. You aren’t trying to censor me are you? Tigerman: Help! Traveller is trying to hijack this forum and censor dissident voices. Help! Help! Unfair! Unfair! Sockpuppet hahaha

Fred, good to see the child in you has not disappeared completely.

Glad that you agree with my statement that Hitler has nothing to do with the topic of this thread. Well done, some hope for you yet !!

War crimes? What war crimes? Americans cant commit war crimes. Only Germans and Japanese can commit those things. America is god’s chosen country, and cant do anything wrong. GIs abusing prisoners? Thats just propaganda by your stupidass Euromedia to undermine America’s greatness.

Iraqi prisoners’ lives are worthless wehn compared to that of Miss England from God’s country West Virginia

I don’t think anyone here has ever said the US can do no wrong but when the minor infractions of the US government (which are punished) are compared with a true scale of evil than much of this bitching about America just seems over the top to people like me and deliberately unfair and unbalanced. So, yes, again, we all agree that the individuals in question should and does anyone doubt that they will be punished? But since this does not go all the way to the top, why the big fuss? Should every mayor resign every time a policeman commits a crime? So here again we are looking at bad actions being taken by Americans but it seems to be that there is only black and white when it comes to America. Either America is perfect or the worst country in the world. No one here certainly not me has ever said that America is perfect but looking around, I don’t see that much of this criticism is warranted. If the sins were truly the major concern, there would be other nations far ahead of America in the criticism department. The outrage as always seems highly selective. That is what we have a problem with. I think that is a fair approach. No?

Otherwise, just by way of comparison, if those that claim to be outraged now were not starting threads etc when Saddam was in power, why are they so outraged now. Far more Iraqis were suffering then so again, it is only when America is involved that these protesters are rustled from their sofas and Friends on TV with a bag of Doritos and diet Coke to bewail America’s evil nasty, barbaric nature? Give me a break.

Saw an interview with that thick stupid trailer trash white bitch, Lynndie England today. Is that the calibre of military personnel we are supposed to look up to? Doesn’t learning to spell play a part in US military basic training? She’s not even fit. String her up.

Interesting that so many on the Left are so eager to call for prosecutors to look to root causes or backgrounds of poverty or racial oppression when the perpetrators are Black (hello alien?) and now these very forces who are against the death penalty for most are calling for it thickly and fiercely now. As the voices of reason, we conservatives say give the woman a fair trial and let the jury decide her punishment. It has worked imperfectly but fairly well overall for quite some time. American justice will handle this and this woman will have her day in court. America is already in court but it has been for quite some time, this time regarding the heinous torture and abasement of Iraqi prisoners which has dealt our cause a severe blow. No question, we are furious and are totally upset about the publicity, but we will clean our house and get things in order. For the most part, we have done this very effectively. We will continue to do so.
