Finland basic income trial left people 'happier but jobless'

How shocking. Never would have imagined giving unemployed people unconditional universal basic income would make them happier and less stress while not finding jobs.

No worries. The robots will do all the work, while the idle masses seek ever more extreme and dangerous ways to alleviate the boredom of their meaningless lives. This, of course, after the initial happiness wears off.

The trick is to keep them from harming innocent bystanders. Perhaps video games and porn can be used to keep them occupied.

We’re talking about basic income here. The only way that can work in the long term is through some science fiction scenario. Suspend your disbelief.
