Nobody has any comments/complaints about firefox 4? Wow. The worst. “I’ll just copy google chrome and remove usability access.” Maybe I can become Apple?
I’ve tried it on Win7 and Ubuntu Maverick. IMHO it’s great.
What problems are you having with it?
Faster and much more stable than Firefox 3.0.
seems faster and less clunky than 3.0 so far.
I absolutely love the new Firefox. Very impressed. Feels noticeably faster. The revamped setup (if you choose to utilize it) is also great. Big thumbs up here.
Made you guys post.
Actually I DO have a complaint. I was using it fine most of Friday until about mid-afternoon when I noticed that my whole computer was getting very sluggish. I opened up Task Manager to find that Firefox was using 96% of the CPU’s resources. Currently it’s going from around 15 to 35% (4 tabs open).
Chrome is far superior to Firefox now that Chrome has added some great extensions. And it will soon be lighter.
Maybe they finally ran out of things to copy from Opera.
Firefox 4 is great. No complaints here.
Downloaded IE 9 the first day it came out. It promptly chopped system performance in half, so I fled to Google and switched over to Firefox when 4 came out.
What is the matter with Microsoft these days? If they don’t shape up, Google is going to eat their lunch.
Microsoft did well by always being second-best - consistently. But, it looks like they’ll be lucky if they hold on to third-, fourth- or even fifth-best.
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
IE has long been a creature of ill-repute. I can’t recall the last time I used it, must be at least 3 years.
Google is the main, with Firefox 4.0 as backup on some sites that just won’t load correctly with my deviant Chrome settings.
FF 4.0 seems so far so good, though it is indeed an obvious Chrome hack copy job.
Bastards reversed the order of Open in New Tab and Open in New Window in the context menu, so I’m constantly opening new windows, what a pain.
However, I do quite like the Japanese Tattoo skin.

Don’t you just use the “middle click” option on links to open the link in a new tab? That is, click on the scroll wheel (if you have one) when the cursor is over the link. It’s a lot easier than using the right-click to open up the menu and then clicking on the Open in New Tab option.
I installed Firefox 4.0 last night on my home computer, and it is very speedy. I don’t want to install it at work just yet because of add-on incompatibility. I don’t really need anything too fancy, though, and I think Firefox 3.6 works pretty well for my needs until my add-ons are rewritten for version 4.0.
Web browsers explained.
