I am now using Firefox browser.
Good bye Internet Explorer.
Oh yes, me too. It is fast.
It’s good, but not perfect. I use Yahoo email alot and FF does not support certain features like Address Autocomplete. In Yahoo Photos you can’t rearrange photos like you can with IE.
FF often asks me to ‘get the plug in’ for Shockwave, Flash etc when I’ve already got it. It’s annoying. Still can’t function 100% without IE unfortunately.
When I click on Bassman’s ‘what is B doing these days?’ in his sig it doesn’t work like its supposed to.
BUT, tabbed browsing more than makes up for these slight deficiencies.
Now I can waste time much more efficiently

Yeah Firefox won’t always work with everything, but I’ve had no problems with Yahoo mail, and once I got the plug-ins, I didn’t have to get them again. Maybe you have a setup problem, Spack.
I’ve never experienced a crash either and no pop-up ads!
When I click on Bassman’s ‘what is B doing these days?’ in his sig it doesn’t work like its supposed to.
That’s because it’s a .txt file, I think it probably does the right thing. Unlike IE which says “it’s a virus pretending to be a text file, I’ll open it as a virus for you”
FF doesn’t support Address AutoComplete in Yahoo email.
It also only offers Plain text emails, NO support for Color and Graphics option in Yahoo email.
The problem with plugins is only for certain sites, not all sites.
No pop-ups is great but not really that amazing since most downloadable toolbars like those from Yahoo and Google do the same thing.
I switched to Firefox for tabbed browsing. The Tabbrowser extensions make it even better!
I wish you could search inside textboxes though.
What version are you running Spackie?
FF, Royal Oak (version 0.8).
I see there is a forum for FF discussion too. forums.mozillazine.org/index.php?c=4
Under Help, Release Notes takes you to this page which is quite informative.

What are tabbrowser extensions?
When I open it in IE it a logo of “Mark’s English” comes up.
When I open in in FF it says this will open as a text file as default and I just get a load of gobbleydgook. If you choose ‘open as other’ it gives you the choice to browse your own hard drive to ‘choose application’. Too much like hard work for me. IE displays the logo in an instant.

Tools->options->extensions->Get new extensions.
Download Tabbrowser extension. (use default configuration at first) Now you can move a tab to the left or right, close all the tabs to right of the current tab, or load a page into a new, active tab. Lots of other nifty tricks. Have fun.

CTRL+F
I dont like the fact that the spell check does not have a button at the top (the way the IE spellcheker does). You have to select the text and right-click.
Tabbed browsing is the shinzit though!
As I’ve said before, I like it because it’s convenient, small, fast, flexible and free. As it is still at version 0.8; not even termed a ‘stable release’ yet, we can only expect even better things to come. One of the things that I hope will be included in future versions is something like Opera’s ‘go back to last session’ option. Occasionally in Firefox I close all the tabs by accident and it’s very frustrating to get them all back again manually. That option from Opera is also useful if your machine crashes.
If you’re talking about the X on the far right, you might find this short thread iin the FF forums useful.

Thanks Spack. Actually, I meant right clicking a tab and hitting the “close other tabs” option by mistake.
