I came across this new provider that gives a free data eSim. Just recently one is able to register it from Taiwan. > Yes, it is available in Taiwan. > Please set APN (Access Point Names) → `firsty.movedata.mobi` They give you free data for an hour, once it is used up one gets a notification to watch an ad for additional data. Update: I can register and activate it. The eSim connects to ChungHwa’s network, ~~but currently there is no internet~~. I will ask their support for more info. Edit: > Yes, it is available in Taiwan. > Please set APN → `firsty.movedata.mobi` ---

How much data at what speed, or just for simple LINE/Whatsapp, etc.? ---

Free data is supposed to be at 300 Kbit/s. Hotspot is allowed. Need to open the app and watch an ad every hour to continue service. After registration one gets 100MB of fast data, which is available for purchase in 2GB chunks, if one needs faster internet. ---
