Trying to see a video on Facebook, and it tells me I need to install Falsh player to watch. So I do so, the Adobe page tells me its successfully installed, yet when I click on the Facebook video it says I need to install Flash player. :fume:
Yet another reason why I absolutely detest that stupid fucking site.
Are you using firefox or internet explorer? Sometimes you have to do a manual install of the flash player with firefox.
And yeah, youtube can be really frustrating.
Edit - I meant flash vids in facebook…

I deleted mine a few months ago. Being a teacher I didn’t like the fact that some of my 15y.o. students all of a sudden were my ‘friends’ !
What possible use is it?

Firefox. But the wee animated Adobe logo revolves and tells me installation was successful. Plus, there’s nothing to click on on the desktop. And its Facebook that won’t play, not Youtube. Youtube works fine.

That’s not my question. I have my reasons.
I’m using explorer and have these dame kids of problems all the time. I have flash, but most of the time it doesn’t run unless I tell it to manually. Gets bloody old!
I also hate facebook a LOT. It’s almost un-navigable most of the time.
Try rebooting your computer. If that doesn’t take care of the issue, get the uninstaller, remove your player and try it all again.

Well you must have added them as friends in the fist place
If you ever need to unintslal programs get the REVO UNINSTALLER… in advanced options you can also delete the crap registry links that other programs leave behind
Problem isolated. Seems I need admin permission to install, which I don’t have.
