Depending upon who is telling it, I’ve heard that when the Flora Expo ends in April 2011, the gov’t is going to tear down all or most of the new exhibition spaces. Is this true?
I certainly hope so. To hold this Flora Expo, the city government has taken away all the major green spaces in the Zhongshan area, leaving the locals with nothing. Not a good deal if you live in that area. And don’t forget that you’re gonna have to pay through the nose to look at those flowers.
As usual the website is a farcical, loaded with Chinglish praising the vision of the mayor and his underlings. Couldn’t find an actual reason for holding this expo, though.
How much will the tickets be, does anyone know?
