Just curious if anyone knows if it’s possible to take flying lessons in Taiwan. My suspicion is no, but maybe one of you has the skinny.

Taiwan recently established it’s first flight school to reduce dependency in the airline industry on foreigners and ex fighter jocks :!:
Not sure if foreigners are accepted as students or if they can hold licenses. There is still no ‘general aviation’ though, so even if you were certified you wouldn’t be able to buzz about willy-nilly in a Cessna.
Ultralight operations are pretty open with minimal controls by CTMA: ctma-taiwan.org.tw
Not sure if they have an English program though.
