Has anyone ever seen any population figures for the number of foreigners in the Kinmen and Matsu island groups at the present time?
Can’t quote any numbers, but I believe there are a handful of foreigners living in Jinmen & Matsu. If you were thinking about moving there, Matsu would be the better choice; more islands, more people, more diversity.
On the other hand, when I visited Orchid Island about 6 months ago, I was told there was one foreigner living there, but I have a strong feeling it might have been someone from the island of Taiwan, if you know what I mean.
