I was wondering if it is possible for a foreign trained and licensed psychologist to get licensing in Taiwan as a psychologist/counselor/therapist?
I have received information that missionaries are allowed to provide counselling services, but this is not my the road I wish to go.
Other information suggests that only R.O.C. Nationals are premitted to get tested and get licensed. Would this be true?
I was under the impression that there is the Community Services Center in Taipei that has mental health counselors. I think they are foreign nationals. Are you a therapist? Where are you? Do you do under the table work?

I am a licensed psychologist in Canada (Alberta), with plans to set up shop in Taiwan.
I think there is a market in Taiwan for me, but whether or not it is legally possible is another question.
Not currently working under the table, but it has crossed my mind. I suppose being called a plain old “therapist” or “counselor” would be a way around this.
Looking at Taipei or Yilan but would consider elsewhere (including Kaoshiung).
